Hi. I’m Michelle, aka citizen mange.

I have a deep interest in many forms of healing… Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yoga, Ayurveda… but I always come back to herbs. For a very long time now, I’ve been collecting and collating data on medicinal herbs, from the common stuff like basil to the more unusual ones like corydalis. And now, with all this pen-to-paper stuff itching to be used, it’s time to start sharing what I have ‘cuz I’m nice like that, hah.

What I need to tell you:

  • I am NOT a doctor. I’m not pretending to be one, either. The information provided here is for you to use at your own discretion. Don’t sue me because you died after shooting up arnica or something… because…
  • The information provided here may not be complete & most certainly is not intended to replace the advice of any physician. Go see a doctor if you’re vomiting blood – get off the Internet & heal yourself properly.
  • As with any non-prescribed chemicals you throw in your body, consult a physician before trying anything listed on this site. The way you metabolize ingested things is unique to YOU – and your doctor will be able to let you know if that cup of chamomile tea is contraindicated given your DNA.
  • Each herb listed is medicine. Some have addictive properties. Ingest with responsibility and respect for the botany.
  • You’ll notice that some entries have red text – these are precautionary statements. Read and heed the red carefully.
  • Please be extremely careful with herbal medicine if you’re immune-compromised.

It should be plain common sense but I have to say this anyway – STEALING IS BAD. If you want to use any of my text contact me or link back here. That’s all you have to do. Rip me off and your karma will burn with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns.

Speaking of content, the pictures used are NOT mine, except where noted. If anyone who happens by this site recognizes one of their photos being used and takes exception to it, please let me know and it will be removed as soon as possible. And for the record, I’m not making a single cent off this endeavor. I’m just doing this for fun. Really.

I’ll be adding herbs as I can, mostly in a semi-random fashion, until I either get sick of this or I run out of plants. 😀 Expect about an herb per month but, eh… maybe more or maybe less.

Enjoy the ride, and feel free to add comments/personal stories about any of the herbs I list! Requests are cool, too.

Thanks for visiting, keep the edge, & harmony to ya.
